Corporate Freelance Artwork

Below is a good sampling of different design projects that I have done for a variety of businesses, corporations and non-profits. Most of these are self-explained. Detailed descriptions can be found under some by clicking the picture. Some of these are older pieces but all should show my approach to design pretty clearly.

The advantage of doing design for The Nature Conservancy was all the great photography available to use. This postcard was the first design project that I had the honor of doing for The Nature Conservancy. I wanted to give the look a modern western chic look without taking away from the amazing photography and avoiding a traditional "western” look. The other challenge was that this had to be 2 color.

Because they liked my postcard so much, I had the opportunity to design The Nature Conservancy’s annual fundraising dinner invitation package. I love the textures of aerial geographical photography and the colors so I built the concept around that including using the textures on the two color envelopes that accompanied these invitations.

I had the opportunity to make pocket folders for Waterpik when they were unveiling their new shower heads. They wanted 3 separate pocket folders. I kept a consistent look for each one. The inside pockets had a custom diecut pocket in the shape of a wave.

A fried of mine did student art shows at a local college. We came up with idea of using profanity to push people’s boundaries. I loved this concept. These are postcard fronts.

This project had many hurdles. The customer had a hand drawn logo that had to be on the brochure and stationary package. They wanted to convey lots of movement with the design. Using design elements like the circles, large transparent type and a paper texture background, I was able to put lots of movement into this AND showcase their logo. The customer was thrilled.

The customer loved this annual report. They loved the design. Looking at this now, I would probably do something different with the type at the top of the page. At the time though, that design choice was much more in style and again, the customer loved it.

This was another student art show that I had the opportunity to design for.

I was given this project with a deadline of less than an hour. I managed to stay within the deadline AND make this look good. The customer loved it. This was a design job that I had done for a printing company.

Remember when we bought music on CDs? I had the good fortune of designing this CD cover for a friend of mine’s band. This album ended up being their biggest selling album. There are club nights that still play several of the songs off of this album.
